Training is not a side program in the Nationforge Nation-only model. It is embedded in the work and structured to build real capability while projects are delivered to standard. Our goal is to increase the value of infrastructure dollars by producing both completed infrastructure and local capability from the same funding.
Real Work, Real Responsibility
Training at Nationforge means participating in real production tasks with real accountability. We integrate trainees into the crew with appropriate supervision, not on the sidelines to observe.
Pathway to Formal Tickets
Nationforge is working toward an official training license so operators can earn recognized certifications. Programs are designed to be community-based and fundable, solving day-to-day operational challenges while people train.
Nation-Only Model
Training and workforce development is part of the Nation-only Community-First Impact Model. Every project is a training ground that leaves the community with more skilled workers, stronger maintenance teams, and long-term capacity.
Typical Work Includes
- Hands-on operator training: dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, rock trucks
- Real production tasks: cut/fill, trenching, backfilling, shaping, finishing, road maintenance
- On-the-job coaching on live scopes delivered to project standards
- Mentorship pathways toward foreman and supervisor roles
- Support for competency development and formal ticketing pathways
